Hi,

I am wondering if importing a .sbd file to Thunderbird could create problem with IMAP. The .sbd file i want to import is relative to old "sent" emails that were not retrieved when we migrated our existing domain to another server. I know it is impossible to import that file directly to the online platform of our new server provider, but was wondering if this would be possible through Thunderbird without affecting the IMAP connection or creating conflict. I just want to have a folder in Thunderbird with those archive message where i can consult them from time to time.

The archived email i would like to import have been exported through Thunderbird already and save on an external hardrive.

Thank you for your help.

"Import" it into your Local Folders account. Once it's there you can, if you wish, move or copy messages into the new IMAP account folders, using the drag-and-drop or right-click|Copy (or Move) methods in Thunderbird.

What tools are you using to do this so-called exporting and importing?
