ALL MAIL folder - freezes all the time rendering thunderbird unresponsive

Hi Using IMAP service - Mozilla Thunderbird Recently ALL MAIL became unresponsive, ie hangs page, with no tabs responsive whatsoever I have to close out & reboot to work with all other folders Its JUST (all mail) folder ? On initial click of all mail folder the timer blue circle rotates for appx 60secons, loads all mail - but unresponsive

Ive just finished compressing ALL FOLDERS to save disk space
