I have installed a new computer (Mac mini). I have synchronized with old computer (imac 2011). All bookmarks transferred successfully to new computer. In the right places etc (Bookmarks menu; Bookmarks toolbar etc ). All the headings in the toolbar are correct with all the bookmarks in the dropdown menus from the toolbar as before. The problem is when I go to ADD a New bookmark the old toolbar headings don't show up in the Add Bookmarks dropdown options. How do I add a new bookmark into a list of an existing toolbar heading or existing list from the toolbar ?

Hi Richard2k, the "recent folders" drop-down should include a Choose... item that opens a folder list. (And there's also a button to the right of it to open the folder list box.)

To the left of any folder that contains subfolders you should find an icon to expand/contract (open/close) that folder. Sometimes depending on color scheme, these icons can be difficult to see. Can you use the expander next to Bookmarks Toolbar to find the folder you want?

jscher2000; Thanks for your response. Pardon my lack of knowledge, but where will I find the "recent folders" drop-down ? In the 'Bookmarks' drop-down there is a recent bookmarks, but this doesn't seem to fit your advice. Again I have imported the 'Toolbar' from old computer. Each heading on the Toolbar has its own drop-down list. When I go to make a new bookmark on the new computer the 'Edit this Bookmark' goes not recognize the imported headings in the Toolbar. Again Thanks for any advice you can offer.

It's not labeled Recent, sorry. In the New Bookmark panel, below Folder, there's a button that opens a menu listing up to five recently used folders. Of course, in a new installation, there are no recently used folders listed, just the 3 main categories and the word Choose... to open the folder list.
