I screwed up backing up thunderbird before resetting windows 10 - I only backup up the profiles folder and not the parent thunderbird folder. Is there any way I can recover the account information and mail items from the profiles folder?

I solved it! by copying the contents of the old profile folder into the new profile folder rather than the profile folder itself. Thanks anyway.

Empty the contents (don't delete the folder) of the current profile folder, with TB closed, and copy in the contents of the backup profile folder.
