Hi,

My calendars are stored on my local NAS. Following a recent network change the IP address of the NAS has changed which means Thunderbird is no longer able to update the calendars. I have opened calendar properties but while I can edit other fields, eg Calendar name, I can't edit the Calendar location. Help !!!

If these are network calendars you can delete and re-create them in Thunderbird.

Thank you for your response but without wishing to be rude, that is kind of obvious.

I raised the problem because all I want to do is change one number in an IP address. And surely that should be a field that you can edit, after all IP address changes are fairly commonplace.

So my question remains, how do you edit the calendar location ?

This is normally, in a property configured network, handled through DNS. It being a layer of abstraction between the raw network addresses and the user and covers what you so aptly describe as a fairly common situation.

I guess as you have chosen not to use DNS to provide the wrapper and friendly name you have to put up with removing and adding as already suggested.
