I have used Firefox on Android for years and at some point, it updated and all of a sudden none of my addons were compatible.

A couple of those were incredibly useful. For instance, I do not use the Facebook app, I only access it through the web. Until the change, I had a brilliant Facebook ad blocker that worked wonders. Now, that blocker will not work.

There is no alternative available (except to revert to using Chrome who did not ruin compatibility).

What have others done?

Installing the app is not an option. Hard stop.

Is it possible for me to revert to the last prior version that actually worked with addons?

1. uBlock Origin should block Facebook ads. 2. You can install Firefox Beta, where you can use these instructions to create your own custom extension list.

I've had uBlock Origin installed since it was originally available and it absolutely does not block Facebook ads (on the mobile site m.facebook.com) especially since FB updated the mobile web version.

I'll try the beta. It's been a hassle for me, it makes the site unusable.

Hi

There are plans to widen support for more add-ons in the future, but as mentioned above, the Beta or Nightly versions of Firefox for Android with the guide at here might help.
