I downloaded thunderbird just yesterday because I am familiar with it. I installed it on my newer laptop with windows 11. My issue is it is starting to download messages back from 2019. I dont need anything on there except recent emails. Like maybe the last couple months. There are some I would like to have in there from around beginning of the year. But it only downloads like 300 or so at a time and then stops and then I have to hit get messages to start another round. How can I get it to just download recent. Its setup as a Pop account. Please help.

Hello !

In your account settings, you can go to something like "Disk space" (sorry i have it in french not english) and choose to synchronize only the last year mails (or 3 months etc.) !
