Font Size adjustment does not work...though Density does in Thunderbird 115.9.0 (64-bit)

My Thunderbird 115.9.0 message pane/Inbox font is set at 7px by default...too small for me. The Font Size adjustment under the "hamburger" does not work though the Density adjustment does. Per the known issue, I've checked layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and mail.uifontsize and they were both fine (not needing to be reset). I'm using Windows 11 Home, version 23H2. Hoping someone has a solution....thanks!

have you tried while in Thunderbird troubleshooting mode? It is on the help menu
