Why does it redirect to another site when I search for something?
When I enter something into the browser like NFL Jerseys it will pop up briefly to all the web site but then go to a redirected site that has nothing to do with my search.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database.

I ended up reformatting and reinstalling XP. I had enough of the redirects
