In "HIstory" at top - accidently deleted "Name" column - how to re-check to show again ?
After you click history at the top left - the drop down shows
Today
Yesterday
I accidently deleted this which evidently appears under name when I went to reinstate it back - the check mark beside this is saying it ain't here and the caption is "name"
How can I get this re-checked to show again -

If you mean in the Library (History > Show All History) then you can right click the header bar or use Views > Show Columns to specify which columns to show.
OK, I right click but just see menu, etc - don't see one for columns to show ?
OK, it popped back in - how stupid can I get - it had zero in the history
that is why it was not showing anything - and I thought I'd deleted it
