My location on search is incorrect by 40 miles. The directions do not change it.

I have read your tutorials to change my location but it does not work. It continues to show me at a location that is 40 miles away. Consequently all the search reults for services, etc serve no purpose. Please assist.

Is that with WiFi using GeoL0cation or an IPAddress on a desktop PC?

There really isn't anything that the user can do, other than discussing that issue with your Internet Service Provider. Your ISP assigns the IP Address for your connection, and the "location" for that IP address is what websites use to determine "your location".
