Since I upgraded Firefox, the browser gave me a blank page every time I typed in a new web address in the address bar. It had no problem in loading the webpage when I clicked a web address from my store bookmarks. I had to revert back to an earlier version 3.6.20.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Another possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
