Firefox does not remember the last folder saved to and uses a previous folder instead.

I am saving images from a few websites and save them in a new folder. Using the first website Firefox remembers the folder but when I use another website, directly after, it chooses another or previously used folder. This is annoying as it never used to do this before the v7.0 upgrade.

about:config - browser.download.lastDir is correct and has the last used folder as it's value but Firefox still offers up a different folder.

Any advice on settings or a fix etc would be much appreciated. :o\

compare your values for the following to the description and your choices

browser.download.dir

browser.download.folderList (mine is set to 2 which is not the default)

browser.download.downloadDir

browser.download.lastDir

Ok. The first two are in my about:config settings and are correct - my 'browser.download.folderList' is also set at 2.

My 'browser.download.lastDir' is correct with the folder that images should be saved to but I don't have a 'browser.download.downloadDir' entry at all - is that important?

Everything looks OK to me so i'm confused as to why it chooses to offer up a previous folder that's not set in 'browser.download.lastDir'.
