Every new page load, I get a youtube page load, then it goes to my intended destination, why?

When I go from one page to the next, Firefox (19.0.2, Mac) appears to load a Youtube or Google search page, then goes to the intended webpage destination. This does not happen using Safari

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...
