After I have Firefox loaded it goes to my homepage which is great. When i click on the "plus" sign to open a new tab in my window it defaults to some stupid search engine called "delta search" which I hate and cannot get rid of. I have had issues like this in the past where I just removed the add on and it was fixed. This time I removed the add on and it still shows up. How do I make it so it always opens my home page every new tab I open?

Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

If you do not keep changes after a restart then see:
