How can I recover a lost bookmark folder and contents and add to my current boolmarks?
I was trying to access a folder with many sub-folders with important websites bookmarks. It is missing from my bookmarks and I have searched the entire library. I need to recover that folder and add it to my existing bookmark folders without changing or disturbing the rest of the bookmarks structure or websites. I am assuming I can recover an entire bookmark set from an earlier date, but I need just that folder. I unfortunately did not do a recent backup so I don't have the option to recover from my backup. If this happens again, could I do the same thing from my backup copy of my bookmarks?

If you have done a lot of re-organizing of your folders since your last backup then you could try the following steps to recover only the missing folder that you require (providing it existed at your last backup).
- Back up what you have now to a new JSON-format backup file;
- Restore the earlier backup;
- Clear everything except the missing folder(s);
- Export to an HTML file;
- Restore the backup you created in step #1; then finally
- Import the HTML file you created in step #4.
It's not the most elegant solution however it will hopefully accomplish what you require if I'm understanding you correctly.
