Pictures or icons will not show in my ebay emails or other emails such as the relist button when an auction closes.

I get emails from ebay showing a listing has closed or has sold and the relist button, or send invoice button does not show, only shows as a blank square and also the pic of the item is missing.

That is because Thunderbird does not display remote images automatically. Add the sending email address to your address book and check the allow remote images for that address in the address book.
