When I attach a picture to an email, how do I make it smaller?
Instead of sending the large picture, I would like to make it smaller, so you can see the whole picture on the screen, instead of having to scroll up and down.

You use an image editor and size the image before attaching the file. Use the right tool for the job. Thunderbird is an email client and not an image editor.
There are several free image editors out there. IrfanView is a good one.

You'll need to reduce the size of the picture with an image software of your choice prior to attaching it to the message.
