I have no option to export address book - Thunderbird 24.5.0 Win*
I wish to export my email addresses to create a back-up. Running Thunderbird 24.5.0 under Win 8. There is no Export button showing although there is an Import button.
Otherwise how can I back up my email addresses?

Well you sure do not do any functions to the address book without being in the address book.
The universal keystrokes to reveal hidden toolbars are the alt key or F10. Press one of those and use Tools on the Menu Bar that appears.

Not sure where you are looking but you need to open the address book window. Then select Tools-Export.
There is no Tools option on the Address Book window; on the main window there is a Tools option, but it only has an Import option not an export option. Any more ideas?
You need to reinstate the toolbar and menu in the Address Book. You may also wish to restore these features in the Write window and the message view window.
