Make Outlook default email client. In Thunderbird

  • Tools > Import
  • select 'Address books' click on next
  • select 'Outlook' click on next
  • you may need to map the columns.

If this is not working: Use Outlook to export the contacts as a comma separated .csv file. Then import the .csv file. In Thunderbird

  • Tools > Import
  • select 'Address books' click on next
  • select 'Text file(LDIF, .tab, .csv, .txt)' and click on Next.
  • you may need to map the columns.

AS an aid the link below tells you what column headers are used, so you can save the .csv file and edit using eg: Excel. This is not absolutely necesary, but can make importing a bit easier if you have the same column headers with correct info.

Thanks - the mapping was exactly what I needed.

Appreciated!
