Create an IMAP account in Thunderbird for Comcast http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/internet/email-client-programs-with-xfinity-email/ then moving folders is a drag and drop affair (but keep folder down to 500 or so mails for best results)

That will get all of your folders from the server as well. Once it is working, you can probably delete your existing POP account.
