When I go to, for example, http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/wb/batkidbegins/, I get a plugin notification for QuickTime in the address bar. It looks like a small dark gray lego block and I learn that the page wants to use QuickTime when I click it. I have attached an example screenshot.

If that icon does not appear for you, do you have QuickTime in your Firefox? You can check on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Cmd+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Plugins. On the right side, look for "QuickTime". If it is disabled, it will be at the bottom on a grayed background. If the permission is set to either "Ask to Activate" or "Always Activate" then you should be able to play trailers.
