My Firebird Account Settings is so old that there is no dialog box set aside for a password, only "authorization type". When I try to insert a password, it has no place to go. Then I revise these settings using create a new account, I get to a dialog box containing "Done". The function required here is to remove the previous settings sheet and replace it with the revised sheet. This revised sheet contains all the original settings, plus the dialog box for "password". This change will allow all the new password functions to perform and make my FireBird useful again.

Thank you in advance. Stan Tate.

Thunderbird has a new account wizard that asks for a password. Beyond that when you go to get your mail Thunderbird will use that password, or if none is present, or the one present does not work, you will be asked for a password to use and offered an opportunity to save the password for future use.
