What is your anti-virus software?
I have Norton Antivirus but I have turned it off. And I turned on safe mode. Neither work on all four computers
Try to start Windows in safe mode with networking enabled. - Win10 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode - Win8 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17076/windows-8-startup-settings-safe-mode - Win7 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17419/windows-7-advanced-startup-options-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7
Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode. - https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode
Does the problem go away?
The desktop has Windows 7 and the laptop has Windows 10. Had tried safe mode in both neither worked. Tried putting Thunderbird in safe mode and disabling add-ons. This failed as well. All responses are matte with no response and freeze up. I'm having trouble answering you as I can't receive the emails except on my phone. And Mozilla support has says I need to confirm email before I can answer you. And I can't confirm an email that won't work. Any other help would be welcome or else I cancel Thunderbird all together and find another email
I would also like to say I've had Thunderbird and Norton on for years and never had this problem
Can you confirm you did start Windows in safe mode?
I'm having trouble answering you as I can't receive the emails except on my phone.
This is a web forum. You don't need email to answer to posts.
And Mozilla support has says I need to confirm email before I can answer you.
I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. Apparently you can post here using your Mozilla Support account.
or else I cancel Thunderbird all together and find another email
This is entirely up to you.

Yes I started Windows in safe mode. Email froze and crashed. I understand what you're saying about online Forum. Since I can't confirm the email address. The Forum will not let me see my status online. But I'm receiving your emails. And having to reply via the phone via email. As the Forum has locked me out due to not confirming email. Don't understand why it'll let me answer your email question but will not let me into my own forum.
Email froze and crashed.
If it crashed, please post a crash ID. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/mozilla-crash-reporter-tb#w_viewing-crash-reports
And having to reply via the phone via email.
I don't know how you post to this forum. In any case, you cannot post via email. The fact that you can post suggests that there's nothing wrong with your Mozilla Support account.
I am using your emailed support Forum notice to me via my phone to get into answer you. It will not let me do it any other way. I can't send you a crash report because I can't get it to do anything once it freezes nothing works nothing moves nothing to be able to send. It just sits there and Spins and says not responding so there's nothing I can send you I can't do anything

A. Let's back track - two possibilities of wording you are seeing 1. The title bar (the very top strip) of a window shows "Not Responding" 2. A smallish pop up dialog that starts with "Unresponsive Script" Which one are you seeing?
B. Is everything OK after you start Thunderbird, until you click an email? And it happens for different emails from different people?
C. How many messages in inbox?
Hi Wayne. In the title box it says not responsive. Not a dialog box that pops up. Sometimes it opens up fine and the minute you click on anything not even an email if you even go to the scrollbar you get the non responding clicking up. Don't have a lot of emails in there. Is doing this on all 5 of my computer's I have two desktops and 3 laptops my husband's as well so it's not just one computer Thunderbird is doing it on all of them
The Thunderbird profile data is on the local disk of each PC, not on a shared/network disk?
Who is your mail provider? And who is your network provider and what type of network speed?
My hosting company is register.com also for the email. Profile may be different but is crashing on all computers. Speed is 4 G. My browser is Firefox with no issues. And no the network is not shared each of them are stand-alone
Before you click on a message, try right+clicking Inbox and pick properties, then repair
Will try. Contacted hosting company they're doing a complete reset to even though they don't find any problems on their end
Cannot get to the point where I can right click on the box the minute I do it comes up with not responding. Reboot from the parent hosting company didn't work either I'm at a loss to say what's wrong
