more options

I would like to use in my FF browser same future as it is now for url.

if I type in google.com It automatically goes to https://www.google.com

If I type in 10.1.2.13 It automatically goes to http://10.1.2.13

but I want to go to https://10.1.2.13 by default.

Is there an option how to turn it on?

Hi jaqup, there is only one built-in feature that can switch you from HTTP to HTTPS, which involves the website sending Firefox a "Strict Transport Security" header indicating that Firefox should never use HTTP with the site.

Otherwise, what you usually see is the website redirecting you to an HTTPS address, and not Firefox doing it on its own.

But there are add-ons for this, such as "HTTPS Everywhere". The issue with these add-ons is they may lead to secure connection errors on some sites. If you to give it a try:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/https-everywhere/
