Hi mikieii, was this a change from Firefox 58?

How do you normally "split screen" on your browsers? For example, do you open pages in two separate windows and then use the keyboard shortcuts to dock each window to the opposite side of the screen? (Window key + Left arrow for the left side, Window key + Right arrow for the right side)

And the above means what ?

I'm not certain of the most recent Mozilla version, if I switch to Chrome I just open desired windows, one on top of the other, place "arrow" on top pull to left, drop, now reverse for remaining window. I have tried this method, changed to lighter post(as suggested for Win 10 resolution) nothing has worked, suggested solutions would be greatly appreciated since I use this (or I did) for Amateur radio DX Chase.......

Thank you

Hi Mike, if you open two windows in Firefox, you should be able to move them by dragging their title bars.

If the two pages you want to compare are in the same window, you can move one of the tabs to a new window using either:

  • right-click the tab and click Move to New Window
  • drag down on the tab to tear it off the tab bar and Firefox will create a separate window for it

I do suggest trying the keyboard shortcuts I mentioned:

  • Windows key + Left Arrow: resize the active window to fill the left half of the screen (if the window is tiled right, press this twice)
  • Windows key + Right Arrow: resize the active window to fill the right half of the screen (if the window is tiled left, press this twice)
  • Windows key + Up Arrow: maximize the active window

That's global -- it should work with all windows applications that use multiple windows.
