Running Mac OS Mojave 10.14.4, running Thunderbird 60.6.1, sometimes there is beach-ball that freezes application i must "Force quit"

I haven't tried safe mode yet when starting, but what can cause this ? No add-ons installed, apart from the default Lighening one.

I only use Thunderbird for Newsgroups, but i don't believe account-related should have any issue as I believe it would beach-ball regardless.

Should I try with safe mode just to see?
