The Messenger page cycles and then goes blank, but with the full top-menu items showing.

When I try the Notifications pull-down it just cycles, and never shows the notifications.

These two FB features work perfectly on Safari.

Is this a Firefox problem, or a FB problem?

...and I fail to see how you are actually offering/delivering help here.

I posted quite a few suggestions - the last one was to consider filing a bug report, but to first wait and see if maybe someone else will come up with the perfect solution for you.

But as I'm clearly wasting my (spare) time trying to help you : goodbye.

Apparently you didn't read any of the pertinent posts from "FredMcD", including where he says *he* is filing a bug-report with Mozilla...

...on top of the fact that you gave your advice without a shred of help/directions/instructions as to how one actually files a report directly with Mozilla.

Holy hell, if I knew how to do that, I wouldn't have bothered with this forum in the first place.

Don't let the door...

Here it is, for the third time :

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines

(this explains how to file a bug report)

...and here is the B.S. I have to go through to formally create an account to try to notify Mozilla of the problem:

BMO/UserGuide/Passwords < BMO‎ | UserGuide

In order to protect your account, bugzilla.mozilla.org (BMO) requires you choose a strong password.

Our minimum requirements for passwords are:

must be at least 12 characters in length
must not contain parts of your email address, or your real name
   must be complex, which means:
must be a passphrase of at least four words
       OR
must contain a mixture of letters and symbols, containing characters from 3 out of the following 4 character classes:
lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and other symbols

Using a Password Manager to create and store passwords is recommended.

This forum is a waste of time, as is trying to contact Mozilla directly.

This forum is a waste of time, as is trying to contact Mozilla directly.

Firefox is a free product and Mozilla, the company that makes Firefox, doesn't have the financial means to maintain a professional helpdesk.

I have also suggested that you'd wait and see if maybe someone else will come up with the perfect solution for you ......

There are contributors here that have way more knowledge than I do, but as we're dealing with different time zones, they may not be around when you need them, and you'll just have to wait a while.

Someone just might jump in here any minute now .....

If they can't support it, they shouldn't offer it...or send updates that make the program non-functional.

As far as waiting for help, I was on the phone with NetGear for network hardware issues for over 22 hours last month.

I'm into my third-day on this thread, with no meaningful help offered. I don't have a single moment of patience left in my life for crap that doesn't work...or works, and then is broken by the people delivering the service, with upgrades.

I went through the goofy-process of registering an account with Mozilla to report the bug...including having to create (and then save, somewhere, for future reference) a four-word-passphrase.

The only "fix" is going to come from Mozilla directly, remedying the problem that they themselves created.
