Flash Is Problematic
I have Firefox 73.0.1 ((64 bit) and am running the latest version of FLASH as an add-on.
Lately, when using FLASH within FF, sometimes the screen goes white, sometimes it goes black. I cannot seem to figure out what to do and how to restart FLASH or get back to where I was. Also, I cannot figure out how to get the DISPLAY settings for FLASH This has recently started about 2 weeks ago. I have no other problems with FF

Make sure you are not blocking content.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Is this what you needed? Flash Player Settings Manager Help http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager.html
I was able to restart FF in safe mode and also figure out how to get the display settings for FLASH.
I go to a website that uses FLASH to set up chats and exchange messages between people in the chat room. However, when I unchecked the hardware acceleration box in the FLASH display settings, I could not enter any data into the chat box. So it seems one problem is solved but another one crept up
I called for more help.
Reboot the computer and try again.
OK--I'll give that a try. Here's what I found out in the meantime:
1) there are two FF windows open, one of which is the chat screen where all the problems are occurring with FLASH. If I cannot type anything into the "send" portion of the chat screen, I flip to the other screen and when I get back to the chat screen, I can type characters in--strange!! 2) When things really get haywire, the chat screen goes completely white or black or sometimes flickers. I don't know how to reset the chat screen to get FLASH back on track without backing out completely and re-entering.
Maybe there are other things going on on my PC that makes this problem worse.
THX for any help you can provide.
