Is it possible to have mail go through filters before adaptive junk mail controls?
I keep getting spam from specific domains, and I have filters that I have to mark them as read/junk and then delete so I don't even have to deal with them. But the adaptive junk mail controls keeps intercepting them and moving them to the spam folder instead. The adaptive junk mail controls does catch plenty of messages I wouldn't be able to filter, and I like being able to make sure whether or not something it filters something is real spam or not, and it goes either way regularly. But if I know a specific domain is spamming me, I should be able to have these filters run and delete them so I don't ever have to look at them. So, is it possible to get filters to run before the adaptive junk mail controls? I have it set to filter before junk classification, but that doesn't do anything. If my filters could run automatically in the spam folder, that would also take care of the problem, but there's no way to do that.

Every time I have been involved in one of these discussions in months, the issue has nothing to do with Thunderbird and everything to do with the mail providers spam filtering moving mail long before Thunderbird gets involved.
The following is an extract from one of my spam folders.
Note the spam flag in the image beside the date is a grey outline. This would indicate none of these messages appears in my inbox because Thunderbird thought they were spam The following image is from another account were I am having some issues it would appear with false positives from Thunderbird's spam filter
Note the change in color of the flame spam flag, to denote Thunderbird has found the item to be spam
So back to my original question. Is Thunderbird's spam filtering even involved here? Your filter is already set to before classification which would see it execute before spam classification, so my feeling is this has nothing to do with Thunderbird and everything to do with your mail provider
Matt, the mails in question all have the filled in flame icon. I just had one appear in my spam folder recently. Here's a picture of my trash folder after I moved all of these here manually. I also have any filters by my provider turned off, since I don't trust them to do a good a job.
Have you used whitelist mentioned at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-junk-spam-messages ?
Wayne Mery, I have it set to whitelist an empty address book and collected addresses, which only has 5 addresses in it. The "Trust junk mail headers set by SpamAssassin" has been that way as long as I can remember, but that filter is set to run after my auto delete filter.
