I have never heard of such a thing. Are these computers linked to each other? I do not mean sharing the same internet, I mean a direct connection.

One possibility is she had selected the Send Link To Device, but that would send the link. Not open a new tab.

Tell her to; Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
