Please advise. I was using Thunderbird yesterday and it all of a sudden stopped opening. I followed instructions about: rebooting my computer, deleting the parent.lock file, clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, attempting to open in safe mode. None of these things worked. After the second uninstall/reinstall, I opened the profile manager to see if thunderbird would launch with a newly created profile. It did. BUT, it still will not launch with my older profiles which have data that is desperately needed for work. It seems like my profile backups are not prior to the existing problem so pasting them into the new install profiles has not solved the failure to launch problem. Please help! I am using windows 11 and thunderbird version 102.4.1.

I suppose you had your account setup as POP on the old profile and no messages were left on the server after Thunderbird downloaded them to your PC, correct?
