As soon as I open Firefox it opens an Audio stream which keeps my laptop awake. How do I disable starting an audio stream when there is no audio?
I'm on Windows 10 Pro using Firefox 107. As soon as I open Firefox it opens and audio stream (I see Firefox show up in the volume mixer). I don't think that is supposed to happen, there is no audio to play I have not even browsed to any website yet. My home page is Firefox default homepage (so no audio there).
I have tried troubleshooting it: opening only a troubleshooting instance of Firefox (nothing else) but again I see the audio stream opening (so that rules out the add-ons right?) I've created a new profile in about:profiles and opened only a Firefox instance on this new profile but again the audio stream opens as soon as Firefox opens.
I have not recently updated my drivers. In the past this did not happen.
Because of this, my laptop never goes to sleep and the battery runs out if I have any instance of Firefox opened.
How can I fix Firefox so it only opens an audio stream when there is audio?
