Browser being managed by organization
How to end "Browser is being managed by your organization". I am sole user. There is no organization.

Seeing the "Your browser is being managed by your organization" notification at the top of the Settings page is usually caused by security software that uses GPO policy rules or uses a policies.json file in the distribution folder in the profile folder to inject their root certificate (ImportEnterpriseRoots) in Firefox to be able to hook into your internet connection to prevent getting a connection not trusted error message.
You can click the "Your browser is being managed by your organization" notification or open the about:policies page via the address bar to see if policies are active and if errors are reported.
Thank you for your response, but I'm afraid I don't know what to look for of how to change what is there.
What security software do you have?
It is likely your security software doing this and you either need to accept this or disable scanning in your security software or disable/uninstall your current software and use a different application.
I recently switched from McAfee to Norton 360, and wondered if that was a factor. Thanks for the advice! The "organization" control is a bit irritating, but if the browser management is the primary impact, it may not be worth further attention. And again, thank you very much for your help!!
