Why no print preview in version 3.6.6?
The print preview icon is no longer on my Firefox toolbar after the browser updated to Version 3.6.6

Firefox has never had a Print Preview icon. If you had that icon in past versions of Firefox it would have been added by an extension, but I have never seen an extension like that.
This extension adds a Print Preview function the the Print button that is in the Customize palette and would need to be moved to a toolbar, along with adding a Print / Print Preview item to the Context menu. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1778
What was that print preview button I had on my toolbar before version 3.6.6 came along?
Also, another casualty was the imbedded IE button.
Why can't these be returned?

I have been using Firefox since mid-2002 and have never seen a Print Preview button in Firefox. I have seen a few extensions over the years that added a Print Preview feature to the Print button, but as I said before, I am not aware of an extension that adds only a Print Preview button.
As far as the "imbedded IE button", the original IE Tab extension that was available for Firefox 3.5.x and earlier versions hasn't been updated for 3.6 versions by the developer who created it. You need to install a different version of that type of extension. Coral IE Tab https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10909
