I tried to download a file from a certain file hosting site, the download link gave me 404 Not Found when I clicked it.. but if I used a proxy with port 8080 I can download that file but the download speed is really slow..

What could caused this? Could someone help me.. Thanks in advance

Clearing cookies and cache often helps with site specific issues.

It might be DNS issue of your home connection, maybe try to check for the issue in another browser.

If not, check for the problem in Safe mode - if it works, disable all add-ons in safe-mode dialog, save changes and restart, re-enable them until you fin the faulty one.
