After updating to Firefox 4, both of my flv video downloaders have stopped working. Both are still present and enabled in my add ons. Loader icon at bottom of screen which was also present has disappeared.

under View->Toolbars do you see an "Add-on Toolbar"? If so, enable it. Then you might get it to work.

Another solution is to ditch the old version (just uninstall it) and go for a new add-on with the title "Flash Video Downloader" which seems to work for me. I can then enable the "Add-on Toolbar" as described above to get my little icon back at the bottom of the browser to do the recording.
