Outlook can not be set to open as a Firefox tab.

You can set Outlook as the default email program and Firefox will open Outlook when required. For details see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Changing+the+e-mail+program+used+by+Firefox

You can not have a tab for Outlook email. If you want to open mail in a Firefox tab you need to use a web based email service such as Gmail. Many ISPs also offer web based versions of their email.
