I downloaded the new latest firefox as my home page on 2 of my lap tops. They look different on both. On my HP laptop with Vista it works fine but on the Dell laptop with Windows 7 it doesn't seem complete, the main and most obvious problem is the Search Box on the start page - IT DOES'NT WORK and it is very annoying. I know little about programs and computer stuff. I use Firefox because I was told it is safer but I want SIMPLE PLEASE. What should I do now ?????

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
