I have Compupic set up as image viewer. When I download picture, firefox directs me to a corrupted version. Would like to re-direct to clean one. I have fixed all other instances of same, but downloads from e-mails persist here.

Try to delete the file mimeTypes.rdf if you can't locate that entry in Tools > Options > Applications.
