I had the bookmarks dropdown on the right side of the browser, now I cant seem to stop it only going to the left side??
After reinstalling windows and Firefox, I added the bookmarks tab on the right side of my toolbar as I had previously done many a time (PC repair Tech and I always install Firefox :) Normally clicking on the Icon gives me the Bookmarks menu directly below on the right side of the page, this is the better side to access it I have found, but all it will do now is give me the drop down on the left side of the browser no matter where I place the bookmarks icon. Latest Firefox etc was working fine before, although a slightly different build of XP was used on my machine this time, it works on others OK TY Greatest browser for speed Joe

Do you have the icon on the Bookmarks Toolbar or the main Navigation Toolbar? Either way, in Customize mode, you should be able to drag it to either end of the Bookmarks Toolbar or anywhere on the main Navigation Toolbar.
View > Toolbars > Customize
Please note that there are two similar looking icons, one of which displays the drop-down menu and the other which opens the sidebar. If you have the one that opens the sidebar, check the button palette (Customize Toolbars dialog) for the other one.

Makes no difference where or which icon is placed or used on any toolbar and in any position; Thanx anyway
