I cannot get Net Nanny to block offensive sites with Firefox 22.
Net Nanny blocked offensive websites with version 21, but I cannot get it to work with 22. I either need to be able to go back to 21, or find out how to fix the problem with 22.

Does updating Firefox to v23 later today help?
I suspect Net Nanny may be fairly popular software and so I may expect it to work with Firefox.
- What version are you using ?
- and is that the latest version available ?
(Can you confirm the home website of Net Nanny so that we are sure what it is that you are using?)
Firefox 22 and up broke Net Nanny ability to filter https. Sites that use https will usually generate a "Connection reset" message. If you turn of "filter secure content" then the site will not be accessible in spite of Net Nanny even with a specific web exception put in place. You will need to rollback to Firefox 21.
Rolling back to Firefox 21 is not good idea.
Anyone got a link to the netnanny support site ?
I hardly expect they will recommend using an outdated browser, so I presume either they will say use another up-to-date browser or more likely you just need to update their own software to enable you to use the current Firefox release.

Didn't see anything related to Firefox 22 (7 weeks since release!) in FAQ or Knowledge Base.
Rolling back to FF21 is your only option if you wish to use Net Nanny with Firefox and be able to filter sites using HTTPS. The most recent version of Net Nanny does not address this problem. Yes, you can certainly try another browser, I'm sure you can find one that will work, there are plenty of good browsers out there. Start with IE and/or Chrome. Net Nanny support? Sure, go to their website and click on "support". I have no idea if they plan to address this problem in a future release.
I am not going to pay to test this but it would surprise me that Net Nanny does not function with the current Firefox release.
- This old article mentions Firefox compatibility https://www.netnanny.com/kb/31/
Although like Jeff I did not find anything recent about firefox & https. I just find it hard to believe that official copies of such popular software does not work with Firefox on https
Net Nanny worked fine with FF up to and including ver21. Something changed in ver22 and up which brought out the error in how NN handles sites that use https by default (ex. tumblr, facebook, etc.) Is the bug in FF or NN?....I don't know. Will NN issue a patch? I don't know. You will have to open a ticket with NN support.
