Any time I want to open a new website, conduit shows up and searches for it, even if I type in the whole website. How do I get rid of this annoying thing? If anything was to search for something, it should be google, as it sais in the search window.

Hi Pluze! That doesn't sound like any fun at all. Here's something you can try: 1. Hit the 'Firefox' tab in the top left corner of your browser 2. Scroll your mouse over to the 'Help' bar, you should see a drop down menu 3. Hit the button 'Troubleshooting Information' a new web page should open in a new tab. 4. Look at the top right corner of the webpage: There should be a grey box saying 'Reset Firefox to its default state', hit the 'Reset Firefox' button. This will reset your browser, hopefully fixing your problem! However, if this didn't solve your problems, check your programs and applications for a suspicious program (Conduit) and remove it, be careful not to remove a necessary program! Hope this helps.

You can check in "Windows Control Panel > Programs" for recently installed programs to see if anything from Conduit or any other suspicious software shows up.

  • Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Uninstall or change a program
  • Click the Installed column to sort by this heading

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and search for prefs that refer to this Conduit website and reset related user set (bold) prefs via the right-click context menu to their default value.

If you do not keep changes after a restart or otherwise have problems with preferences, see:
