Dear support,

I need some help setting up my firefox sync.

I just upgraded from Windows 7 to windows 8.1 On my "old" windows I have a restore code for firefox sync.

Now on my new PC with the new firefox sync I can't enter a code anywhere and all of the sudden I have to have an account. I created an account but how do I get my "old" sync account back, I have a lot of important stuff added into that sync that I CANNOT lose, can you please help me recover that sync? I tried looking on the internet but I can't find a correct answer anywhere.

You can copy the old profile folder

C:\Windows.old\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\

to

C:\Windows\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\

then set up new sync. The old sync is abandoned.
