according to my android phone i have tried to download multiple, parental-control add-ons but they all tell me it is not compatible with Firefox 34.0.1 what can I do? I tried updating firefox but they keep telling me it's up to date.

Extensions at addons.mozilla.org that are made for Android Firefox are in https://addons.mozilla.org/android/

The extensions for desktop Firefox on Windows, Mac OSX and Linux are listed in https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ . Though if you look at Version Information at bottom of a extension page it may list Android Firefox as compatible also if the author has done so.

You can change section on top where it says "Other Applications".
