firefox.exe*32 runs 99% CPU and locks up WHY???

so on two different pc we are having issues with firefox that as soon as you launch it it runs up to 99% cpu ussage and freezes. I have done complete uninstall and reinstall including running revo and clearing out all firefox entries out of the registry. it does this even in safe mode. both of them are running windows 7.

SO I actually figured this out I think somehow in the properties for the shortcut on both of theses pcs it had gotten set to run in compatibility mode windows xp service pack 2. undid that check box and everything seems to be working..... Not sure how or why it was checked but its working so that what matters.
