Addons can cause issues and yet Firefox 45 requires addons for the simplest changes in the old preference option. The old ability to enter into and change preferences worked well. Please restore. If I prefer my own TAB then at least allow me that option without using an addon nor the home button. Firefox is selling out users intuitive knowing what s/he needs and prefers. Please stop thinking for me. It is rude. Allow me to enter at my own risk.

Firefox is the way it is, you can't stop what the developers consider progress in building the best Firefox possible. Sometimes that entails changing a feature that some users feel is necessary; just say 'thanks' to the enterprising add-on developers who come up with "retro" add-ons to revert changes that the Firefox developers made to 'improve' Firefox. Nobody is forcing you to install an add-on or to user Firefox.

Or, just switch to a different browser that does things the way you think they should be done.
