When I minimize Firefox with YouTube music playing in background is Being crashed most often in two situations:

1 when I use other App's for example Google maps

2 when I turn off screen, after few minutes it stops playing music. When I come back to firefox its refreshing the page

It started happening week ago or something

In my case I have changed settings in Developer Mode > 

* No process Limits  to Standard Process limits .
* On Don't keep Activities  which previously off .

Both these options gives me similar status as you are going through. So a vice-versa will help you in this case.

Note : a mobile version site of youtube however works fine in all conditions.
