I was bulk deleting some emails on my thunderbird account yesterday. I clicked on delete and a message came up saying that I needed to empty the deleted folder. I did this and from then on, all 3 of my email accounts have disappeared. Only one is a thunderbird account; the other 2 are hosted on different servers.

Many people come here asking how to remove accounts and have to be guided through several steps. Deleting an account is not something you can do by mistake.

I suggest that you might have set to view only read messages or similar. Check |Folders is set to "All".

I don't have access to folders to perform set to all as suggested above. When I click on the email icon on my laptop I get a screen with the following words - email chat newsgroups feeds movemail. If I click on any of those, it tells me that I don't have an account set up. I can send and receive emails on my iPad and iPhone.
