Here goes the question again because I cannot find it once I verified my email. About a month or so ago twc updated my cable box ever since I have not been able to get or send any email through my thunderbird account.. I worked with twc on the phone and they tried to fix it but the problem is now when I click on my thunderbird icon to get my emails it asks for my mail.twc.com password. When I put it in I get an error message that is it wrong but I can go to mail.twc.com and put the same password in and it works. I need to send an important email with an attachment but cant figure out how to do it from the mail.twc.com sight and I know how to do it thru my thunderbird sight but thunderbird wont let me do anything. What can I do to get back in my thunderbird account?

The error message, unfortunately, doesn't mean specifically that there is an issue with the password. It might be unhappy with the username or there might be something like a firewall or antivirus getting in the way, or just incorrect connection settings.

The username is often the full email address, sometimes it's just the name part before the '@' and in a few cases, it's something else entirely.

Can I ask you to post your settings here please?

  • Open Help (or click on the three-line-icon and select Help).
  • Choose Troubleshooting Information.
  • Clear the check box Include account names.
  • Use the button Copy to clipboard to select all.
  • Paste this in your post.
